Birkahus

Mauren, Liechtenstein, 2016–2020

In Birkahus each of the three floors is a small village for its residents. The project added a new residential building to the Birkahof in Mauren, a former farm where people with special needs work and some live with the Heilpädagogisches Zentrum. Each resident has a unit in its own colour along an interior street. The building was completed in early 2020, and we reused its modular timber system for the Rietle residences in Schaan.
