Living in a Factory

In a factory in Balzers we ended up creating Liechtenstein-Kyrgyz-fusion industrial-wood-reuse architecture. The owner of an old metal-working factory wanted a wooden apartment that felt like sitting in front of a yurt in Kyrgyzstan. In the hall a two-storey timber insert holds a workshop below and the apartment under the roof. Kitchen and bathroom are built from reused furniture, and the owner worked with a yurt builder on a textile ceiling over the stove.
