As a Christmas gift for the people of Liechtenstein and all the adventure-loving hikers from around, we paid a visit to one particular tree to give it a big solid hug. No drilling, no screwing, this little bench hangs peacefully in the woods about an hour above Schaan as a replacement for its damaged predecessor and continues to mark this important turn.
As heavy as the ring of power was for Frodo Baggins was the wooden ring for us on the way up to Alpila. We made it in the depths of Atelier Gapont and took it to heights where the air is thin and the tools rely on batteries. At the top, we tailored the ring to our chosen tree and sat down to contemplate the upcoming year.
