In this collaboration with pupils from the primary school in Schaan, we first mapped the village and its most significant buildings from the perspective of its (young) inhabitants. We then speculatively doubled the centre of Schaan according to their ideas in a model. The maps and the model were later presented and exhibited on various occasions.
The purpose of the workshop was firstly to engage children with the development of their village, secondly to make decision-makers understand the perspective of children (villages are usually built by and for adults), and thirdly to learn from the boldness and creativity of children when it comes to planning the future.
